Workshop essentials!

Excellent idea! Thanks Brian.

Thanks very much Chris. I’ll take a look at it.

Hi Tris,
I’m just following up on your reply to my post about bike lifts and your Eazyrizer.

I’m about to order one and Dave suggested that the red version would be too tight a fit on my 850 T4 due to the width of the cylinder “V”.

I could imagine that the larger blue version gives possibly better access mall around but I’m wondering if it’s been awkward for you with the red version?

Thanks

Hi.
All I can say is that i had my 1100 Cali on my red one, but that was with a frame I fabricated myself, as I couldn’t see a solution with the standard options

If you go here Bike Lifts
you will find pictures of the frame.
I just attached it to the easyrizer when I got it

Also i needed to lift the rear on a plank to get under the bike.

If the big blue is a lot bigger then you might struggle for space.

If you’re anywhere close to Gainsborough Lincolnshire then you’re welcome to drop by and take a look at mine

Cheers

Machine mart stock a variety of torque wrenches at reasonable cost…i wouldn’t recommend a used item as the calibration would be suspect…false economy to risk a used item…

I would recommend the Halfords torque wrenches. I bought one years ago after it came out well in a magazine comparison review. Last year Motorcycles Mechanics did an offer to have the calibration checked and it was still spot on. Its also very nice to use. Ps the smaller one they do is best for most motorcycle purposes.

You dont like gold paint?

I admit its one of my vices

It should have stayed on there!

not slackening them off after use causes that i think, so always a risk buying one used unless you know the person used it properly
