I’d like to fit the genuine MG spotlights to my new Stelvio but nearly £400 for the official set seems a bit steep - such is the way with accessories, as I know to my cost from my BMW days.
Any advice on more reasonably priced plug n’ play alternatives?
I already have the MG engine bars fitted.
Thanks!
I tried cheapy chinese ones and they failed after the bike was left out overnight on a wet and cold night…
I gave up and bought Denali S4’s (see thread I just posted) and a “Dial Dim” controller.
The Dial Dim allows you to select the light intensity (if you run these super-bright LED’s at 100% intensity you will annoy everyone in front of you!!!). I run 15% intensity normally.
Previously I had used a Skene controller ( Skene Designs IQ-275 Intelligent Lighting Controller (smart dimmer) ) on my V85TT, until upgrading to a Dial Dim.
The V100 is not so simple (see my thread V100 (Stelvio) Hi Beam Trigger ).
If you want them to have the similar config to OEM lights, you could do this: Fitting PIAA Driving Lights to the V100 | GuzziTech Forums
Personally I like the dimmable ones, so you can use them (legally in UK) as DRL in daytime, and then full blast on country lanes at night…
Thanks, Martin, that sounds like a really good set up. Great advice.
