Bristol/Bath meetings

The Bristol/Bath section meet on the first Thursday of the month at around 7-8 pm. Meeting place is the Cross Keys pub, Midford Road, Bath BA2 5RZwww.crosskeysbath.co.uk/.
The pub has a nice selection of ales and ciders on tap and parking out front. They also do nice meals. Please note some of our members may turn up in cars in the bad weather, so please don’t assume we are not there just because there are no bikes outside.Somersetlemon2014-04-14 13:28:50

We are going to try an alternate venue next year.

The next meeting will be on Thursday 7th November at the Cross Keys as usual.

The December meeting will also be at the Cross Keys in Bath (5th)

Then in January we are going to start meeting every other month at the Railway Tavern, Station Road, Fishponds, Bristol BS16 3SG (Just next to Lidl). That will be 2nd Jan, brrr!

February back at the Cross Keys, etc, etc.

From 7 pm as usual, and we will usually be eating!. Note that the Railway Tavern is also where Bristol MAG meets later on a Thursday evening, it’s more of a traditional bikers’ pub.

I have been informed that there is a change to the meeting place above in that the meetings are now

The Cross Keys Inn, Milford Road, Bath BA2 5RZ on even months and
The Railway Tavern, Station Road, Fishponds, Bristol BS16 3SG on odd months.

All meetings are on 1st Thursday at 7:00PM. All contact details are as given in Gambalunga

Best wishes Chris Cumbers

Hi, new member here living north of Bristol. Are the Bristol group meetings on?
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike - no they are not apparently Wiltshire is still live.
Or we could start a meet up - maybe in a cafe somewhere round Bristol? I live in Bristol centre Jon Green

Hi Jon,

I’m up in Wotton under Edge and up for a meet up. What are you riding?

Cheers

Mike

I’m in also North Bristol way and happy for ameet up. I’m riding a 2021 V85TT Travel.

When? = I’m retired so every day is Saturday - but maybe you guys are still working?
Where? cafe with parking in Downend/Yate/Wickwar areas? Any suggestions?

What about the Lamb at Iron Acton? They are bike friendly as I’ve stopped there when out riding my vintage bike.

Looks to be a good starting point. We could try different places once we have met up a few times to “test the water” so to speak.
How about Wednesday 20th, next week. The weather looks like it might behave, though it will be nippy.

What sort of time?
I was assuming lunchtime or mid morning?

I will need to delay a planned ride on Weds but a mate with a Guzzi might come too

How about 1030ish? Would that be okay for you too, Mike?

Sorry Guys, just checked. The Lamb Inn doesn’t open until 1200. How about going to Attwoolls Outdoors instead? Same time on Wednesday? Bring others. The more the merrier.

I was assuming it was an evening get together. I’ll be up at the bike show all that day so I can’t make that one.

Is that Atwools Outdoors at Bristol Road, Whitminster, Gloucester, GL2 7LX?
10:30 on Wednesday 20th?

Barney & I can be there

Sorry you can’t make it, Mike. This arrangement was a bit adhoc, so hopefully, the next one will be with more notice.
Enjoy your day at the Bike Show.
