Moto Guzzi Sightings

Reckon somebody will dig one out Ivan…

I have tried to send the photo copies of the report but Photobucket is having a off day, even old pictures which I have e-mailed in seconds in the recent past without any problems are coming up with a error message, will try again tomorrow and if that fails I could send photcopies via snail mail.PS @21.25hrs, think I have sorted out the scanning and posting problems with Photobucket, if you find your inbox has about 10 e-mails from me it will mean I have sorted it out. let me know.there should be four pages of the report.dont think I sent them in any order. The guy who wrote the report still has the 850 T3 he went on but it has not seen daylight for a few years.it might be worth putting a ‘Wanted 1993/1 issue of Gambalunga’ in both the web site and Gambalunga ‘Wanted’ advert page.

Got all 4 pages now, thanks very much. It’s great, and all in glorious black & white, as real photos should be. The Night Wolves have more Harleys now. But the roads haven’t improved at all

There were I think 8 Guzzis at the Simmer Dim rally out of perhaps 350 bikes.
Two Stelvios, one ridden by the organizer of the Swiss rally (got the distance award)
Nigel from Shetland’s immaculate T3
A V7 special from Corsa Italiana, ridden from London
Breva 1100 from Yorkshire I think
Old 1000 Spada
My Le Mans
Smart new white 1200 Griso up from Cheshire (will be at the V Twin)
Also saw a reasonable looking black and red Cali parked up in Cunningsburgh a couple of times but it did not come to the rally.

Black/silver Stelvio at Cowes ferry port.
V tidy T3Cali on the M42 heading East.
Both yesterday late morning to early afternoon.
Steve

Saw a mat black big block rat look guzzi in Dukinfield Cheshire today, rider had a beard and open face helmet.

Er, that may have been a mate, tis actually a 1000s, was the helmet an ago pattern…

Didn’t notice, but I think it had something other than a Guzzi logo on the tank.

Magni…? Millepercento…?

Didn’t really have time to look closely, may have been a bike club logo or something like that.

Nice white Mk3 Lemon riding through Hankelow (Cheshire) this morning approx 10.15am with a green Triumph (Trident Sprint?).

Lovely little red Breva two-up going north at a gentle speed on A41 away from Watford and towards Aylesbury, at 5.27pm. I was on the red Breva 1100 that went past only slightly less gently in the outside lane.

I saw a red Breva lunchtime today near Watford, not the one near London but the one in Northamptonshire that Watford Gap Services is named after.

Saw a red Norge today…ooooh, it was mine

Yay! I saw my first V7 Stone “in the wild” today - other than my own. It was a black one, leaving the Newark Ring Road and heading towards Lincoln on the A46, around 11:30 today. It seemed to be in a group of about 5 or 6 sports bikes although it may simply have been overtaking them…

Dunno what I saw yesterday on the A320 Ottershaw - St Peters, might have been a T3, or possibly a small block bike. Either way, I only spotted it cos I heard the tappets first…needs a service mate

Was marshalling at Lydden VMCC meeting this weekend and saw a Targa 750
in bog standard trim (including road silencers) doing really well in the
BEARS races. Rider Nic Powell achieved a second place in the first
(wet) race this morning, beaten only by a fire breathing and very fast
BMW K100. Took a third place in the afternoon race in dry conditions too
so no flash in the pan.

A red LeMans Mk II making “good progress” up the A1M who gave me and my callie a cheery wave, balanced by a miserable bugger on a griso in the petrol station A11 thetford who filled up next to me and totally blanked me!

Perhaps he was shy

Probably there’s a fair few people who ride new Guzzis who don’t even know about or haven’t a clue about the older models - and no doubt vice-versa
