Moto Guzzi Sightings

No, you’re not the only one. I’ve just come back from Salina, a small island north of Sicily. Very few proper bikes but loads of scooters and Ape 3-wheelers. Only one Guzzi, which was a modern V7 with a British number plate.

Red and white Spada (I am guessing) rode past our house on the road from Oswestry to Weston Rhyn. I’ve seen the bike pass a couple of times, but vehicles pass our place at 50/60 mph so can’t be sure exactly what it is other than an older Guzzi. Sounded good.

If you own the bike we’re the sandstone coloured house standing on its own (so difficult to miss). Do drop in for chat + coffee / tea / beer.

Foreign registered silver Norge coming into the centre of Frome yesterday., two up and obviously touring. Not sure if it was French or Italian registration.

Red small block with fairing, possibly a Monza. Seen on A487 heading north toward Aberystwyth this afternoon. Sadly, I was in the car.

Red Le Mans 1000 at the Ponderosa this afternoon. Chap was saying it is the first time the bike has been on the road since 2008. He seemed rather pleased with the way things had panned out.

Billy Joel’s old loop frame in the Hard Rock Cafe New York last week. He donated it around 2003 I think.

Also saw a couple of new V7s parked up in Greenwich Village, and another trundling down the M3 on Friday on our way back from the airport.

All the bikers we saw in NY had t shirts on and no gloves.
