Hi, just wondering if anyone ever found any info on routing the clutch cable and did any drawings for routing the loom crop up from the above post.
My '78 V35 came with all the loom removed. It was made up from 2 different sections. It is now functioning but is a proper dogs dinner so any help would be …helpful!
RE the clutch cable… If my memory serves me well it is as good a cable-run as the on the big-blocks.
But once you haul the clutch cable up abruptly to get it above the airbox (and away from the hot bits) the rest runs quite well.
I eventually ran a spare cable zip-tied to the original so that if it broke again i didn’t need to feed one through at the side of the road. - but it never broke again Doh!!
Sorry i cannot remember where the loom went in any detail
As long as I remember, off the lever in between the lamp holders, then to the right of the headstock and IN BETWEEN the cylinders for sure, so to the right of the airbox on top of the engine. You will even notice a little recess in the gearbox bellhousing to accommodate the cable in the region of Destra carb.
Here we go, different(carbless!) engine but you will see the recess to the right of gearbox vent top cup, which is normally hidden below battery tray.
