Hi, I’m currently restoring a V50 II and am trying to find out what the acceptable play is for the timing chain.
It seems quite slack and is none adjustable.
I read somewhere that it’s possible to fit a tensioner.

I am not sure about the small blocks but the big blocks have an adjustable block as standard that tensions the chain. There is also a sprung tensioner available for the big block engines.
