Yes, Johnny: Devon and Cornwall is the very definition of small-block heaven.
i get one usually in colder weather but unexpectdly again the the last few weeks in hot weather “oil sensor failure”.
Replaced my quick action heavy twist grip with a Doherty 77 twist grip Doherty No.77 Dual Twin Pull Motorcycle Twist Grip Throttle 7-8" 99-0347 99-0351 | eBay UK
Now seems to be a bit easier to operate the 40s.
Had to ream out the body to fit over the Cali bars and drill out the nipple retainers, but otherwise it suits the other brightwork.- except where I’ve left some grease on the handlebar.
Today I mostly rode my motorbike in the west pennines…past the Winter Hill mast then on to Tockholes. During the English civil war there was a skirmish there involving cavalry and canons etc. A large pit containing 40 horse skeletons and canon balls. The things you learn on a Moto Guzzi
Hey Ray, that’s a blast from the past.
Got round to replacing the embarrassing horn. Bent the bracket to fit to the original mount so it still had some rubber cushioning. Thin Velcro edge to make sure it doesn’t vibrate against the frame. I’ll paint it properly at the weekend but just wanted to test it. Absolutely loud as thunder!! It came as a pair so I will wire the other one and put it on the other side with a new bracket. Not bad for a tenner from J and S.
M and P. Not J and S.
Funnily enough, I had to test my horn again today..
A lovely lady clearly looked at me then pulled straight out of her driveway anyhow, and though the horn made her look at me once more, she carried on regardless.
Thinking of upgrading the very loud Denali Soundbomb, maybe a 50 cal machine gun might be more effective.
Then you get to say “Too close for missiles, switching to guns”
Check the clearance with the mudguard at “full bump” it looks close to me
Strangely enough I’ve just changed mine. Got it from vehicle wiring products. It clearly beats the little Moto Guzzi Noddy horn
I would post a link but the computer says NO
I did do Johnny thanks. Loads of clearance thankfully.
Larry, it is straight forward, when you compose your post there is a row of symbols at the top of the dialogue box, fourth from the left is a symbol of two interlocked chain links. Click on that and you get another dialogue box up, paste the URL of the link in the top and if you would like it to read something else such as “click here” type that in the bottom slot.
Best wishes Chris
