I didn’t think the orange infills matched so I had them wrapped also ![]()
…….gold
subtle improvement but very nice
Today we took a 240 mile ride up to Rhayader and round the Elan Valley reservoirs in mid-Wales. Looking a bit empty…
Hi Don, I was there too but not on my Guzzi on the triumph 3ta that broke down after 10 miles
. I did stop and talk to you and took a pic of your wonderful Guzzi:grin:
Oh dear, where you one that ended up in the van of shame.
It was a great day, hot off the press, next years date should be the 20th September, plenty of time to prep your bike. Hopefully I will be on the Guzzi Airone that I have recently bought.
Haha, no not the sweeper van but I did end up in my partners van to take me back to the windmill. I really enjoyed the day, great venue and route. We have fixed the bike so definitely will be there next year. I will look forward to seeing the Guzzi Airone ![]()
Other burger chains are available! ![]()
Finally sorted all the electrical gremlins, passed the French MOT and went for a celebratory ride in the Champagne hills.
Just got a coffee in the garage ![]()
A bit more tinkering with the Airone, I have replaced the condensor in the mag and my mate made a new slide for the carb. I took it for a run today and it’s still not running quite right. Better than it was before, but still needs tinkering with.
Over the weekend I took the 750T to the Twits MCC Rally at the Black Horse pub in Great Missenden. A great weekend catching up with friends old and new. On the way there on Friday I devised a very varied cross country route from Taunton but ran into a lot of traffic on the A361. I decided to take a more boring but less congested route home via A413, M25 (!), M3, A303, and A358. In all, a round trip of 340 miles. I definitely need to get my seat refoamed and made a little taller for comfort…. I was very glad to have the liner back in my jacket too, brrrrrr.
Another tinkering session on the Airone today with my mate who is a bit of an expert with carburetors. He recently made me a new slide, but initially left the cutaway quite small. It was running very rich and so we increased the cutaway and it is now running really nicely. Time to give it a proper test ride when I next get a free couple of hours.
Sounds like a really useful friend!
Good to see you’re getting out riding Mal, it’s been a while since we had a catch up. Let me know next time and I may join you.
Cheers! Will do!
