OK if I aim some Russian abuse at the system to find out if the previous webmasters were cunning linguists?

I’ll leave mine ‘in the garage’ for now… probably the safest place with the ‘prevailing conditions’. :sunglasses:

Surely you noticed the childish posts?

Joking aside, the previous webmaster Uki was quite adamant about this, she posted a picture of her granddaughter on here to make her point, and I for one would not consider swearing in front of Uki’s granddaughter.

This is a public forum and a window onto the club. Public means that anyone can visit here not just wrinkly old cantankerous men with long beards, and what we post on here is a reflection of our club onto the world, or those parts of it that bother to visit here.

So as I said above, play nicely :innocent:

I have at last got the parts I needed from Gutsibits to rebuild my front hydraulic brakes on my Tonti, the rear twin leader drum brake I have new shoes for and will fit those shortly.

I’m going to buy tyres soon, and I am looking at Bridgestone Battlax BT-45 100/90 18V Front and 120/90 18V rear or Metzler Lasertec 100/90V 18 front and 120/90H 18 rear. I will have to fit innertubes as I have Borrani rims. I would prefer V rated tyres all round but the Metzler rear seems hard to find in this size, any opinions?

I used to run Metzler ME11 Lazer front and ME99 rear but you cannot get these anymore, sorry I am wandering off topic and into a tech tyre thread. I am happy for the moderators to move the post if they like.

My Stelvio is still on SORN and has trouble starting even though it has a new battery and is on an Optimate 4 charger most of the time. I had to jump start it last week when I wanted it out of the garage to extract my trailer.

Plural pu-leeze. What did you do with your Guzzis today? Took the v85tt on the Tesco Run because big metal touring panniers for the shop. Then took the Griso out for a blast because HELL YEAH.
So that’s two bikes to wash this weekend instead of one. Epic fail, in the parlance of our times.
But before the wash a break to watch Ireland thrash England at the rugby game.

Yup, realised too late . Watched the game ,enjoyed it even though I am of the Scottish . Cheers.

Popped to squires for an afternoon cuppa, was chilly i might add

Took the Griso up the coast road to sunny Hunstanton for a seafront lunch. I had tea and chips. She had Esso E5.
We know how to live.

I sorted out the front brake calipers over the weekend
All rubbers replaced with new and stainless bolts clips, bobbins, pins and blead valves cleaned, new carbon ceramic pads to suit the new stainless discs.

I also stripped and cleaned my switch gear

Small jobs in my heated office, next I have to go into the cold garage and fit them to the bike. I was pleased that I am progressing again albeit slowly!

Got close to 190 miles today with 350lcjohnny. From Bristol, BaffleHaus for coffee, lunch in Rhyader at the Elan Brasserie, and comfort break at the Asda in Hereford (pictured), home via Monmouth. Forecasters promised no rain so of course we took no waterproofs but had some light rain. Roads filthy, full wash required tomorrow. It was a blast.

Took advantage of the sunshine and popped to “Squires” for a cuppa, very busy as many out embracing the sunny weather. Low sun on ride home was terrible but still nice to be out.

Nicest looking bike there :blush::trophy:

There was 2 other guzzi,s there, a red mandello and a white v7 but i didnt catch either rider. Had a ride to Apex motorcycles after to have a peek at a v85tt with only 600 miles on ( Guardia d’Onore) but it was just an excuse to extend my ride

Brilliant. Squires is on my list this year to ride to for a visit. I live on the Wirral so it’s doable in a day.:motorcycle:
