What did you do with your Guzzi today? 2025

Had a blast around the Peak District. Cheeky cup of tea and a chocolate bar at Middleton Top.
Quite busy and the usual lunatics about.
But generally a good ride.

Its 20 minutes for me, been going since the 70s when it was called the “milk bar” in the village itself, now based at a pub a mile or so out of sherburn village. Much more room now.

Superb 200 mile ride today from Bristol. Coffee at BaffleHaus nr Pontypool, lunch at the West End Cafe, Llandovery. Exploration of the Llyn Brianne Dam and Reservoir, then back via Builth Wells and Abergavenny. Early spring biking heaven

Took the Griso to Hunstanton seafront for tea & chips. Spring must have arrived, lots of bikes. Distinct lake of Guzzis though. The place has no class.

I saw a similar machine in the Knysna Motorcycle Museum in South Africa, there with Itchy Boots’ bike from her Southern Africa adventure.
Unfortunately, even the name on the tank can’t make me want this bike!

Fitted the RH carb back onto the LM after a stripdown/ ultrasonic bath treatment/ rebuilding it following it misfiring.
Started the motor up and after a minor tweak on the carb it cleared it’s throat and chimed in beautifully.
Went for a few miles for a test run in the lovely sunshine, the first ride for months.
Lifts the soul eh? :slightly_smiling_face::blush::+1:

Took a short trip along the City of Edinburgh bypass to the Scottish Bike Show to drop by the Scottish Branch Stand

First venture out this year. Ride through Delamere in Cheshire then tea and butty at cafe at J and S Accessories Northwich. Still very cold. Also realised that the clutch lever on my V7 is too much so a stretch for me. Was in some pain at the end so straight onto Ali Express and an adjustable lever ordered. Should really help. Can’t fault the bike though and so comfortable. Roll on the warmer weather. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses::smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

For those who know the North Wales area…sad to say that this famous meeting venue is no more :sob:. Hopefully I’ve put this article in a correct place…
although you’ll no longer to able to do this with your Guzzi today!!!

Nooooooo!!! That’s where I was going to go to today but remembered it was getting refurbished. A brilliant location and bike meet. The food was great, well priced and the staff and owners lovely. I’m genuinely gutted :scream::smiling_face_with_tear:

Yep. Sad isn’t it. I go there all the time. Always been a great spot for us biker folk. Maybe someone will step up and take it on? It’s popular for families as well. I know it’s seasonal but still hard to understand its closure …

I know! It was near a town for supplies and was basic inside but perfect for us. So sad.

So just for this chat so I don’t get shouted at. :joy: I never went to the Ponderosa on my Guzzi today.
