What did you do with your Guzzi today? 2025

did you leave the windows open?

Went out to post a letter. Took the bike and did 20miles around the coast to stretch its legs. Got a look from my wife though.

The yellow box said no cars so I was fine for the 30 seconds I stopped to take the pic. :+1::blush:

The Highway Code says

Rule 174

Box junctions. These have criss-cross yellow lines painted on the road (see ‘Road markings’). You MUST NOT enter the box until your exit road or lane is clear. However, you may enter the box and wait when you want to turn right, and are only stopped from doing so by oncoming traffic, or by other vehicles waiting to turn right. At signalled roundabouts you MUST NOT enter the box unless you can cross over it completely without stopping

However looking at your photograph it does not appear to be a junction, unless the road ahead is where hovercraft enter the junction from! It also doesn’t say anything about stopping to take photos!

@Bazzer - be careful… ‘anchoring’ your bike there could be extremely risky.
You never know when another ‘large vessel’ might appear out of the mist and T-Bone ya.! :ship:

(RIP to the poor soul who sadly lost their life in that incident :slightly_frowning_face:)

What have I done today? Cursed and fumed at not being able to get my foot brake system functioning!

Took my 1980 Guzzi for an MOT, in order to get a new personalised number plate organised.
Nice getting out in the dry/ sunshine.
It foxed the mechanic finding the horn button on the original ‘leggo’ switchgear.
Got the bike weighed (with a near tank of fuel)
Front= 110kg. Rear= 127kg.
Somewhat similar to my Honda Blackbird but much easier to manoeuvre on the driveway :slightly_smiling_face:

Spent the morning hosing and washing to get rid of the salt after riding to Bakewell yesterday from Wolverhampton

Or pudding :yum:

I fitted new clutch and brake levers. Fully adjustable and easy to fit. Yet to test the clutch for the best position but I’m hoping I will find one easy on my hand that still lets me change gear . They are shiny black unfortunately but I will be getting hand guards so they will be hidden.

Nice Griso…

Quite envious of all you folk who’ve been making the most of the spring weather over the past 2 days
Been grafting at work all day, couldn’t enjoy the sunshine
Tomorrow I start the annual saga of getting each bike MOTd and ready for the roads again

This V11 will be the first to be MOTd for 2025

Riding out 212 miles with Jon to Wales in lovely sunshine. Coffee at Baffle Haus, Heads of the Valleys road, North over the Black Mountain to Llandovery for lunch then a loop through Builth Wells and back to the old Severn Bridge.
