Lovely ride out today over the NY moors and a stop off at the fantastic pantry cafe at Scampston for breakfast, pricey but absolutely quality food!
The new STARTUS interruptus fix from Kim at mph cycles US has worked a treat on Rizzo. She no longer clicks and tuts her high Italian heels at me and starts on the first turn. No more worrying if I’ll be embarrassed at Seaways or if I will be left on the side of the road with the Armani diva. 2003 and 9000 miles, neither should she complain! Spring has definitely sprung.
Blast out the long way to middleton top.Not saying it was a cold wind but the tea was drunk within 2 minutes of pouring. Half a twix as a treat.
Beautiful bike and who doesn’t love a twin
Feeling chuffed after a Sunday ride along the twisty east Yorkshire coast near me, commuting each day to work in the sunny week we’ve had, plus a midweek trip out our local MGCGB meeting.
Now making a plate for my new personalised number plate to go onto.
Top parking at work - pass only entry at the security barrier to the industrial estate, substantial chain and padlock, security cameras and wandering security personnel. Even a roof for motorcycle parking
What have I done with it today.?
Parked it..
Decided against a new carpet, having a new ‘garage’ instead
that’s brilliant.
Think she may get used to those surroundings?
1st ride this year. Went for a blast on the Griso via Daresbury to Oakmere J&S . It was jam packed with bikes but alas no other Guzzis. Nice coffee and a blast home via the old Runcorn bridge. Good afternoon had.
Took the back wheel out of the Spada as the tyre keeps going flat, it maybe something to do witth the nail in it!
Off to the local garage to get a new tube fitted in the week!
Is that such a bad thing? Nice looking Griso by the way. I have an old Griso and think it’s been around the block a bit compared to yours.
Made a cable oiler for a grease gun. Worked a treat, far better than the hydraulic oiler I used to have.
Interesting..
How does that connect to the cable.?
Looks like an electrical connector…
Yes, as simple as that. Fortunately the electrical connector thread fitted the 1/2" BSP socket.
Only a slight amount of grease weaped out of the joint.
Worked on the clutch cable, which I will fasten against the fitted cable, so I’ll always have a spare.
Not like the time I pulled the clutch lever in as I was about to descend down Rosedale Bank in north Yorkshire- a 1 in 4 in places…
I like it, nice bit of MacGyvering
Defo gonna steal that idea..
Well, the day turned out well in the West Country…. @350lcjohnny and I headed over to the latest Guzzi service centre in rural North Wiltshire…
