What did you do with your Guzzi today? 2026

Guess you don’t live on the East Coast. :face_with_raised_eyebrow: My heating bills would disagree.

Had new tyres fitted and replaced brake pads - having fun trying to bleed the two linked brakes - front right is all OK and I am using a one man bleed kit. Foot brake pedal is still to soft. I may try the old method of putting the end of the hose in the container submerged in the brake fluid and get some one to help me.

I have gone over to the vacuum bleed pump myself, just a cheap kit off ebay and it seems to work well. Just keep an eye on the master cylinder level as it goes down quickly.

More work on my V50 project. Polishing up the old paint work today. The mudguards are freshly painted, they were too far gone but I wanted to keep the original paint on the tank and side panels.

Sunday, hopefully it’ll be ready to fire up. Then it just brake bleeding and making some new bushes for the brake gear levers and we’re done

My V50 lives! We fired it up today for the first time. What a beautiful noise! It sounds like a bigger bike. A few more jobs to be done and it’ll be ready for the first ride.

Rode it for about 60 miles and was laughing like a lunatic as it went dry and sunny @10 degs

Nice low down grunt on these V9/7 and the Agostini’s snort rather well up the rev range.

Didn’t manage to get out on mine, but saw this nice V7 850 at the Mablethorpe Sandracing today (my fave colour of the 850’s so far).

Belong to anyone on here.?

Getting more addicted to my V9. The Hagon rears and updated front adjustable with a 3mm lower on the yokes turns it into a sweet ride

Did another 50 miles and it counter steers like a dream and allows me to tip it well into the corners.

The factory comfort seat is a gem for ones ass

Now hooked( from a previous Harley owner)

First ride out of the year today. A modest 100miles or so but bone dry wall to wall and 9-11 degrees. That combo has not occurred for months it seems! Sould have had nicer pic to share of some snowcapped Scottish peaks but I was enjoying myself too much to stop!!

Located the clutch bleed nipple under the seat on my Griso. How thoughtful of Moto Guzzi. Most kind of them I though! How hard can it be to flush the old sludgy gunk through…well what a faff…ages to free up the bleed nipple and ages to push the new fluid through. My memory must be playing tricks on me…was it ever such a fuss to do this simple/easy job?

Anyway nearly 2 hours later mission accomplished so off for a road test. Thought I’d go over the Runcorn Bridge to the area around Whitchurch…great roads. Alas within 5 mins of crossing (toll free for bikes by the way) the heavens opened…what a downpour… could barely see, torrential doesn’t describe it….only one thing to do…set off for home. Headed for Warrington…traffic awful, blasted roadworks,

all the time still raining. Out of the roadworks via Penketh and Fiddlers Ferry….road temp closed…several Police cars and a gaggle of Police on GSs escorting a very wide load into the Power Station. Accept your lot Larry I thought….Cops eventually gave the all clear so off I went via Cronton village…low and behold no rain there, all sunny, so stopped in the Village Hall and took a couple of pics…then off home for me for nice cup o tea and a hobnob! What an afternoon

Finally managed to put some miles on my Mandello this afternoon, a quick 100 miles over to the edge of the Dales.

Although it’s only running in speeds it seems to be well balanced and comfy, really looking forward to racking up the 900 miles before our trip to France in June.

It was Tuesday, before I succumbed to man-flu and with a clear blue sky it seemed churlish not to have a wee run out.

Hope you are over the ‘manflu’ Bonny! Where were your pics taken?

Hmm two days of wall to wall DRY! What to do? Two big rugby binges today but I know what I’m doing tomorrow! Even if it is Sunday, usually avoided by me where possible. Being of the mature persuasion I have the gift of weekday layaboutness but looking like the rain is back for the rest of the week, so… I’ll suck it up and join the crowds I guess. Betting The Welly will be overflowing.
