Gets dark early over your way Kate…
Whaddya tryin to say Pete…tis Gods country…
I wouldn’t dispute that, but the time on your post was …b****r! Can’t see it now- think it was twenty-five past one or something like that, well before lighting-up time further East… Anyway, good luck with the Show, if I’d have thought about it I’d have made plans to come as I’ve never been either.
Ha !, so it was Pete…this forum is very nearly as quirky as the old nails themselves…
Rode me V7 down to the NEC…just caught a bit of rain there but them big old mudguards keep a lot of the muck off…
Whaddya know…the first bike I see is our Rodders Lemans…on the stand that is mostly peopled by the Clifford bike club…Result…got me lift ome ! X

Ahh…seems like a bit of a problem with pictures taken in portrait mode…Attn NETREADY !
Went Shopping in Southampton, easy filtering, parking no problem and of course free, then once home and unloaded went for a wee spin in The New Forest.
Rode it home from the NEC down a very busy M6…in company of many unusual vehicles…proof that not everything on display at shows arrives on trailers…
Mind you…the…er…3 wheeler below probably did !
Cor you sitting on a white Cali 1400. That’s my pin-up for this month sorted …
Remember this?
Conclusion: BETTERER…
Explanation:
when you bought (can still buy?) a K&N conversion kit for an old Tonti, apart from the K&N’s you also got a Le Mans style breather collector box, hoses for it, and a pair of main jets.
For the 850’s using VHB30 carbs, standard jets being size 120, you got 125’s; for the 948cc models (so-called ‘1000’) using same carbs with 125 size, you got 130’s. Mine being 850, guess which size works best …
Having to use larger jets before must have been because other jets and things were gredually getting clogged (all other jets were renewed last year).
Nipped up to the shops on it and will probably take it to club tonite…even tho I have the Lergy…
Spent all yesterday erecting a temporary garage inside the remains of the old (roofless) garage, will try to post a piccy soon, bike now guaranteed dry for the winter as last two covers have been prone to condensation. First job is a repaint of tank but am trying the paint out on the pannier tops first just in case… Cheers, Gerry.
Is that a filled up sick bucket at the front rhs of the Trike.
The Cali 1400 suits you Kate.
Rode it to “work” for the first time ever.
Actually, I was volunteering for the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, repairing the lighting cable on a trailer, but it still counts as work, doesn’t it?
Decided it was time for the bike and me to hibernate. Last run to shake out any lingering bike spiders and now tucked up 'til the sun gets up before me. Nite, nite.
