What did you do with your Guzzi today ? .......

Oh yeah! Didn’t clock that first time round ..

Whilst I can appreciate the work, expertise and expense of such a project I still think its a bloody monstrosity…
In other news …didnt make it to club last nite or work either today…really must get a flu jab…dunno about the 1400 Cali suiting me Eno…its a big big monkey…lovely tho…

Gave it a second pre-winter coat of ACF50. I think the first coat must have been washed away by my obsessive cleaning, which I’m only doing because it’s white
Not sure when to stop with this stuff. It does tend to give the bike a ‘wet look’ which looks rather fetching until the road cr*p sticks to it

Jon

If it’s paintwork you’re talking about, maybe a car wax would be better?

Mike, no, I don’t intentionally spray the paintwork with ACF50 but it does somehow migrate on to it from adjacent components! It’s useful for bringing unpainted black plastic panels back to life, though.

By the way, I used ACF50 on my Triumph Tiger and rode it through six winters. It works  .

Jon

Did a few errands on me V7…(still got the lergy)…its a bit like the ad ‘your’e never alone with a Strand’…same applies to Loops…
Sat on me lemon in the garage, havin a beer and occasionally lending a hand to Guy who is currently fitting and fettling his old milling machine, tis so nice to be able to do so much in house…Â

today, kept the Guzzi clean and dry in the shed and took my Ducati out… again :sunglasses: chucked a bucket of water at it when i got back, and was suprised to find dead flies on the headlight and my visor at this time of year… by now its normally salty clag!

Yes still mosquitos around the back garden I’ve noticed!

Kate, I want your job…

Glad I checked the paint on the pannier lids, having wet and dried down to 1200 grade and tack ragged to death, shook up can of specially matched (and B expensive) paint, test spray on paper, virtually no colour, tried on pannier lid, 12 coats (15 mins between each) later can still see rubbed down marks. This stuff seems to be 99% solvent and 1% pigment. Returned today after 24 hours, “paint” still tacky and coated with midges. Stern E-Mail on its way to supplier re crapness of product. If no joy will name and shame on here. Gerry.

Take them to a professional sprayer. Had my very ropey secondhand black ones stripped, colour matched and laquered for under £200 the pair. No contest.

Washed it and put it in bikes for sale…

Went for a wee run on my own cos my other half wasn’t feeling too well. Jeezo it was cold…think that might be my last run of the year! Yes, I know…i’m a lightweight

Took the Breva out for a quick 10 mile jaunt between meetings. Relieved it worked perfectly, having found it wet with condensation in the garage yesterday. The handling, the response, the sound - oh, how I love this bike.

Ello and welcome nelly18…

Returned home after a spin on the Uly and a gritter passed the other direction… Afraid in these hills that’s now it for the duration…

It can be parky out there now! Not too bad this W/E but was Fridee. BTW I found the lining for my over trousers, also found I’ve got two body warmers.

Kate what’s this about lad’s Enduro forces sale? tell him to get his own garage to put it in…

Rode to work. 32 'F.
Taking it easy(very) and a Triumph Explorer went t’other way at a lot faster speed on its rear wheel.
I stuck to taking it easy.

 Eno…
Looked out this morning…all frizzly here…am sure there will still be guzzi fun to be had mind you…Miko…mum is a major sponsor…possible upgrade may be required hence the advert…my lads in work…but motorsport don’t alf get thro brass…
Speaking of motorsport…did anybody see that cracking programme about Jim Clark last nite…very very good…

Enjoyed the cold morning! Set off for work at 5:15 am and rode for 75 minutes in temps between 0 degrees and about 3C. A lovely crisp morning and I was nice an toasty in my Gerbings heated jacket

Had to turn it down for filtering or I would have boiled alive…

Jon

I turned over in bed this morning at 8am and briefly thought about all the poor bu@@ers riding/driving to work…, only briefly mind you…, I then dozed off for another hour or so. Everyday is weekend…
