Jeremy Vine…euch…
Enjoyable hour in the grumpling (garage) with Guzzibrat and gearbox…we shall overcome…
Nothing yet…
Appear to have food poisoning and the roads are dry and the sun is shining…grrrr
Food poisoning? Real painful gripes, but not a lot to show for it? Headache?Seems to be a “something” going around here. I had it several weeks back, one child off school this week, and one a fortnight ago.
not nice Kate… good advice dont drink tap water at the mo.
Yep Andrew, that about covers it and wilco Lemon…havent forgot tank btw…
Thanks Kate, i have done an exchange with Ray aka ex-smoker for a Mk111 tank which sits nicely on the lower rails on 4 rubber mounts plus have used a Renthal handlebar brace rubber (off-roader) for the top spine much meatier than the original, rear rubber tank strap is a little tight when fitted but can extend that. The seat assy all seems to fit and line up ok but is need of a base repair and recovering … happy days.
Oh good !
Cali passed its MOT. Took the long way home!
Got my NOVA application approved for the Stornello. Nothing to pay. One more little job crossed of the list:-
Based on the information you have provided to HMRC, an application can now be made to register and licence the vehicle with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) or Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVA).
Wheeled it out for a battery livener, but no juice left to turn the engine over.
Nothing for it but kick the cat.

My ten-year-old Breva failed it’s test today, first time that’s happened! Cracked rear disc.
Debated riding one, but theyre all nice and clean, still, looks like tomoro might be a nice day…
NTX Rear caliper cleaned out and pistons ‘lubed’
EC chrome front mudguard fitted. Not brilliant but better than the rusty specimen which is going for surgery.
Gearbox parts are a mix of here (Gutsibits) and there (another dealer).
In for a warm now
Steve
Fitted new bobbin springs on front disc of the Cali, then checked the rear shocks as back end had become solid, dammit - need new shocks as right side is knacked, Ebay here i come.
I actually managed to get to the bike, since moving house just before Xmas! Shoved a few boxes around to get to it then did a dry fit of a single seat unit I plan to fit. Shaped the seat foam with a cheap asda leccy carving knife. Not quite sure how comfortable it will be yet! Hopefully get it trimmed within the next week or so. Also hit the start button. Not ridden it since the middle of Dec & it still amazes me what an easy starter the ol lemon is!
Gave up on looking for a cheap Le Mans or similar and bought a BM instead!
What BMW did you buy?
You did know that BM’s are just guzzi’s with saggy boobs!
You should have bought Toast Munchers LeMans (See bikes for sale)
Haa haa! Very funny, I’ll never look at those pert round barrels in the same way again!

Yes, I’ve got that Joe Bar cartoon too! I’ve bought an R65 - which is nothing like what I was looking for and frankly doesn’t scratch the ‘get another Le Mans’ itch at all but it was local and should amuse me for a couple of months.

Saw that but . . . square barrels. didn’t like that look in the 80s, hasn’t grown on me since. I’d still end up looking at the T3 Cali and wondering if I should have just modded that.
