seems a very strange way to conduct business, unless some personal problem came up ???
He’s based in France now. I’d imagine it’s an expensive business shifting stock across the channel, perhaps he thought he’d end up running at a loss.
Well I’m told he was there on the Saturday (with his stock)but decided against staying. I’ve since been informed that this is not unusual. A friend rearranged a holiday trip in France to enable him to call in to Reboot, only to find that he’d decided not to be there as arranged!
figaro get ready to turn off the downstairs sockets if you have a splitload board
if the consumer unit it likely to get wet isolate the supply or protect the area around it, if you have an RCD board any damp creeping in will shut it down
if you get time with moving everything upstairs
good luck
The Thames flooding might turn out to be my saviour, actually. The Thames is one side of me and the river Bourne the other, it’s the Bourne that got me last time. I’m not au fait with how rivers work, but last time the NRA allowed the Bourne to flood in order to stop the Thames going into flood. This time the Thames has already spread itself about, so there’s no point filling the Bourne. I may just get away with it.Having said that, it’s just started raining again…
we had contractors working outside, at the foot of a hill, known for sending down water
they dug a hole it filled up they pumped it out and it got bigger
possibly I may need to dig out my tent if they dont stop soon
Haven’t been able to get into Chertsey town via the park for weeks but the water does seem to have remained at the same height for the last couple of days. Popped up to the Pinnacles for a pair of wellies for the wife. Seems everyone else had the same idea so very limited selection of sizes, but with the aid of some Swarfega and a couple of tyre levers I’m sure they’ll fit her.
Disgracefull Russ. You’ll be claiming that nobody gave a toss about poor poople flooding but when the rich are endangered then it becomes an emergency. You forget your place young whippersnapper. This is gods green and pleasant land I’ll have you know.

couple of my friends live near the river
visitors always ask why are your sockets so high !!
cos russ put em out of harms way
Well, I’m still getting away with it somehow. I reckon that’s it, can’t see us flooding now. The water level is almost right up to the 1947 high level, far higher than it was in 2003, when I was flooded out before. This to me is proof we were flooded deliberately to save another area. I’ve got no problem with that, just wish the authorities would be honest about it.
A week old Porche was written off over Christmas due to flooding about half a mile from here.Don’t know if it’s coincidence , but the respnse to the Thames flooding does seem to be a bit more immediate than it was in Somerset.
aha the funny handshake clubwe have the same hereone of my friends got his own back on them, but I will not put anyhting on a public forumsuffice to say the magistrates got to know there clients a little better !
A couple of hours with Guy and Kate Wain delving into my T3 gearbox. One nasty and unexpected surprise which we’ll be fixing over the next few days.
Heat shield fitted to the NTX indicator which sits too close to the exhaust for comfort. A bit of tin bashing and matt black spray paint. No feasible point to re-site the indicator sadly.
All small steps to getting and keeping Guzzis on the road
