Some lovely roads in that area - especially for pottering about and exploring. One of my favourites cuts across from Winster to Youlgreave. We call it the “yak track”.
Run down to The BMF show on the Griso. Brilliant ride in superb weather via Ashbourne, Melton and Oakham. The show however was a disappointment for the outrageous entry cost of almost twenty quid. I won’t be going again.
yesterday I left on time after 5 hours sleep ( long hours at work plus hayfever, I rode the 80 odd miles down to see the compton abbas meet, spent two hours rding around Salisbury looking for compton abbas !!! a taxi driver pointed out that I should have been at Shaftsbury !!!I also left my map behind that didnt helpwell worth the trip even getting there late, got overtaken by a couple of middle aged idiots riding the MV test bikes I reckon they were touching 160 !! caught them up later on, big skid mark in the road and oen fo them sitting down next to the bike ??of course the guzzi played up with the click click click so i had to bump start ithey ho
Fitted cheap, nasty, crappy Chinese brake and clutch levers that didn’t…fit that is.
Had to file bits off, redrill the pivot straight , drill the recess an extra 2.5 mm deeper after my test run ended in front brake binding on.
Clutch then slipped, back for more adjustment. Grrrrr,
half hours work turned into a half a day saga.
…Awww, never mind Gal, you cracked it at the end of the day…I find Pazzo levers are excellent, but they cost that bit more, but no heartaches follow…You pays yer money etc…Good luck! 940V2014-05-19 17:24:29
Love the Chazzos name but yes me too, any previous ones were pretty good and I had no problems, than again you read all sorts on the forums about people having issues with them. Luck of the draw I guess.
You weren’t all holed up at the Monyash cafe at lunchtime were you? I rode around the green and noted very many bikes and loads of cars parked, no space avaialable evn for slim Guzzi, and decided to push on and make my pit stop at the Hulme End cafe (the old loco shed).
Eh?..Ahhh Chazzo’s…'Chinese Pazzo’s… Ahh ek ek ek…very good… The best laugh is when the front brake lever snaps off in action as the monkey metal they have been stamped from turns out to be a recycled rotted washing machine drum from an outer mongolian scrap yard…Probably loads of lead in the black paint too…Tsk! no wonder all this outsourcing has gone titsup
Simple question eh? Y or N will suffice, from there, i will consider if i should waste more time playing tic tac to with what appears to be a potential troll type troublemaker.
