Took my little Stornello out on the VMCC Taverners Section Tiddler run on Sunday. Met up with a mate on his Galletto and a few others.
Had a jaunt over to Knowle…business thing…stopped in Henley-in-Arden for a beautiful ice cream in the weak July sunshine…progressed onto Stratford-upon-Avon and enjoyed the Guzzi making light work of the congested traffic…
Wired up heated handlebar grips, using a relay so I don’t get a flat battery by leaving them switched on… Not lol.
Had a ride over to Ardingly for the bike show and jumble. Parked up the Cali and another 2 Guzzi’s, not travelling together parked up along side. There were a few Guzzis around. I found a membership form on my saddle when I returned. I assume it was the work of the Sussex mob. Good work guys.
Lovely looking Norge
Stunning bike!
Finally got my mirrors Halcyon wide view with ball end fitting 10cm round lens.
straight swap for bar end weights with 6mm bolt
Had a wonderful ride out doing “simon weirs - huddersfield loop”. moors, snake pass, hairpin bends and 1 in 4 hills n valleys it had everything. Just glad the weather was good, its not a ride for bad weather
Said goodbye to my Guzzi after 10.5 years of great service…
…then said hello to my Guzzi with equal expectations
It’s early doors but absolutely smitten with this version of the V85TT, especially in that colour scheme. I’ll be using it in all weathers so first job is to apply the ACF50 and then keep an eye on the fasteners.

Happy new bike Jon it looks fantastic. Your old bike is a credit to you! It looks mint someone will be delighted
Thanks - I was a bit OCD and pampered the Stelvio. I would have happily kept it for a lot longer but…I took out a couple of the new Guzzi’s for test ride! I was fully expecting to prefer the V100 to the V85 but despite all the advantage that the V100 offered, I enjoyed riding the V85 more - and that’s what matters.
Jon
Absolutely! It’s whatever floats your boat! I’m a fan of detailing and part of the joy for me in having a bike is keeping it nice. Your new V85TT is also a cracking looking bike
They look great (I have the same bike as well with standard mirrors). Easy to fit? You manage to take of orginal mirror fixings (cant see on the photos)
Regards
Jim
Hi Jim,
Straight swap bar end weights off save with the original 6mm bolts. Order mirrors with the 2017 Triumph fittings with 6mm bolt.
If you zoom into 1st picture you can see the reservoir clamp, I put blanking caps in the threads and turned the clamps upside down to give a cleaner look on the bars.
Excellent 135 mile ride on the V100 with a few mates over to the Dales yesterday down some quieter roads. The weather gods were smiling for a change!
Took the Spada out on a local VMCC Taverners ride. 55 miles around the back lanes of Leicestershire and Northamptonshire in glorious sunshine.
