Red Kite Weekend. Good company, great location. Thanks to the organisers
Looking out from the bar, glass in hand.
Hi Ian, do you mind if I use your RK photo when I get round to updating our webpage?
Took my V7 Special to Pesaro, Marche, Italy for my summer break : )
1100+ mile ride.
Below are a few photos of my Sunday trip to Furlo Pass:
Wow! Puts my wee ride up past Lochearnhead in its place!! looks awesome!
nice looking v7
Returning from Matlock Bath Sunday evening, the Moto Shoots photographer was on the Whatstandwell bridge.
All those heading to Matlock Guzzi Fest this weekend travelling north up the A6 will pass this way.
Set off for a Taverners VMCC meeting on the Spada this evening, just going to overtake a car on the Harborough by pass and the engine cut out completely. Coasted to a halt in a lay by. The ignition system was completely dead, no sparks. I suspect the Newtronics box has died.
Got brought home by the van of shame. I was well impressed by the engineering of the bike trailer that appeared out of the back of the van, it was like something out of the Transformers TV series.
Called in at J&S Oakmere for a coffee and a bite to eat on my V7. Low and behold what did I spot…a Suzuki GT750 P reg just like I had back in the day. Cost me £1250 of hard earned cash…they cost a bit more now
Just back from a short trip to Scotland making the most of the short break in the weather. Stayed in Longtown on the way home and met two Swiss chaps on tour on their sidecar outfits, one BMW R100RS and one Guzzi California 3. Language was a bit of a barrier, but I got the impression that they were two brothers and former sidecar racers, Mack and Bruno Frehner. I understood that the Cali had done 200,000km and it still looked excellent considering it was well into a long European tour.
My V100 just visible at the back of the piccy.
In the good weather I was able to do some stunning rides, highlight of which started in Canonbie, taking the B6357 up to Jedburgh, onto Innerleithen via Moffat and back to Canonbie via the B709 through Eskdalemuir. Cracking roads, relentless twisties and stunning scenery but a bit bumpy so hard on the wrists on the V100.
Wow - lucky outcome. Glad you’re OK!
I went on my V100 Mandello on a Group Ride with London Motorcycle Riders Club to Exmoor and Dartmoor on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, staying overnight in Taunton on Friday night and Okehampton on Saturday night. 178 miles on Friday, 275 on Saturday, 273 on Sunday. Amazing weather, company, meal stops, roads and scenery. I heartily recommend L.M.R.C. to anyone in the vicinity of the M25, we need more Guzzi representation!
Photo snapped on Whatstandwell bridge on the A6 heading north towards Matlock. Anyone riding this way up to GuzziFest last weekend would have also been snapped
Commuted 13 miles to work on the Le Mans MK2.
Half down country roads, half in urban suburbs.
Good excuse for a little ride.
Fixed it after the electronic ignition died on me a couple of weeks ago. I managed to buy a new Newtronics box from Autocar, £99 delivered. A 20 minute job to wire it up and normal service has been resumed.
Well done Don. I wouldn’t have expected anything else from our star advisor!!! Cheers Phil
