What did you do with your Guzzi today ? 2017 .......

Lifted the seat off the Fat Slag, had a look at the fixings underneath, put seat back on, and ordered a Hepco & Becker rack. Meanwhile a rice puddin’ baked in t’oven.

Is that was you call it now?

Audace has a big ass hence Fat Slag. Minded of the chr$ from Viz. Did pick her up in Newcastle after all.
Question is …Tray or San?

Oh yeah I remember the fat slags now. Never saw Viz that much tho.

Remember my Kids getting Viz years ago, great bathroom reading

After lapping in the valves, I took Thunderbird 5 out for an Ale…

Now to re-torque the bolts, once its nice and cool…

More fettling of the V11 rocker boxes and put the Breva’s battery on charge ready for the week. It’s cold out there!

Finished the new seat base for the SP this afternoon. Hopefully get it painted during the week, then drop off at the upholsterer to get the foam and cover made.

Might switch over to the loop to drop the sump and fit the new front brake shoes before continuing with SP jobs.

Nowt with a Guzzi…but Guy n me picked up at 1960 350 Triumph…that hasnt run since 2014…after it was ministered to by a moron masquerading to its 73 year old owner … as an expert…
The poor little bike made a valiant effort in the end for us…started and ran…but tis indeed poorly…
Feckin idiots…some of these people…

Nice bikes to work on Kate

Normally Chil…but this ones a real mess…Guys gonna pull the top off today…as the other Guy mite say…theres Worms to Catch…

Yes, this notion that everyone who has an old (and therefore by definition a “classic”) vehicle takes such good care of them and knows how to fettle them, so that they don’t need an MOT fills me with dread. I have owned far fewer bikes than you, but still seen my share of bodges…

Took my lil’Breva oout for a run yesterday. I’d forgotten in the last 2 months how much fun it was.
Filled her up and the low fuel light came on.
Does anyone know if it is posible to reverse the leads into the tank on these otherwise it is a stuck sender.

Should be a law against it.

Inside exhaust rocker cover…

It’s a wonder it ever ran, is that rust or sealing gloop?

Tis red hylomar and theres actually what looked like kitchen towel stuffed down the pushrod tunnel and around the tubes…which are 2 different lengths hence 1 very slack tappet…the good news is bottom end bores and pistons are perfect…
It requires 4 guides…4 pushrods, a top end set which will hopefully have tunnel seals…many helicoils and the dizzy rebushing…all of the machinung Guy can do in house…
The motorcycle is owned by a Mr Wiggens…henceforth tis now called Bradley…

What a mess. :astonished: :astonished: :astonished:

Aye…tis indeed Don…

Should make the top end quieter  I had a 3ta / twentyone when I was a lot younger, gutless would be the politest term I can think of and not exactly the best handling bike either, but wheels is wheels. The moron who did that should be made to eat the contents of that rocker box. :imp:
