Have just had a conversation with Bradleys dad…who is slightly deaf methinx…have now got to lie down for a bit…
Took the Beetle shopping cos the slave cylinder went on the van clutch at the weekend…gave a fiver…a chicken n bacon sarnie and a pack of chicken dog chews to the…er …gentleman of the road and his Jack Russell who were sat on a piece of cardboard…in a sleepin bag…covered in a large fleece…outside Wilko’s…he’s a regular and was in good spirits considerin the weather…he liked the Beetle…had a Norton Commando some years back…

First worked with homeless folk in the mid 1970’s. I was amazed by peoples’ backgrounds. One chap had been and up and coming manager with Barclays Bank. Caught his wife and colleague in flagrante delicto. Walked away from the house and never went back.
Somewhat like motorcyclists a diverse population with a lot of history.

Red Hylomar, work of the devil, I was after a Jota about 20 years ago got offered a mint 180 then the guys “pal” called me to say he had a mint 120 at half the money, went to see it, red hylomar oozing out the pores. Walked away and bought the 180, fine bike but sadly now sold

Dropped home-made seat base round to the upholster this morning to get the new foam shaped and cover made.
Afternoon was spent fitting new brake shoes to the loop. Managed to avoid trapping any fingers in them but I’ll have to make a tool to spread the shoes in a more controlled way sometime.
Changed a back tyre on the T3 , arse of a job
Took engine out with partially dismantled covers, just to put them back on again… 
Took engine partially out, then dismantled covers…then mantled them again, partially.
Turned to S3 and realised that SOME FUGGA HAD NICKED THE SEAT
