What did you do with your Guzzi today ? 2017 .......

Fitted cast iron garden chair to S3, goes with apehanger bars and highway pegs. Also fitted torpedo silencers and fully shrouded rear shocks to Eldorado - going fully retro in 2017! Anyone have Ranton’s address???

Am startin to worry about you Robin…

They’ll be the silencers I saved you £100 on I suppose. I’m such a bad person.

Obviously getting it ready for the forthcoming Highland Guzzi trip. The cast iron garden chair will be useful for jamming doors shut thus preventing predations by Mr Clink during the night. He (i.e. Clink) has a propensity to wander around, dazed, and allegedly incontinent.

…no allegedly about it mush!! Thanks for mentioning it…bringing it all back…aaaaaaah!!!

Still waiting for the Dyna 111 from the States, all else is done so spent a quiet afternoon repainting the side panel badges and made up a reasonable Guzzi light blue metallic using Hammerite smooth blue/silver/white and touched up the little patches which abound on a 40 year old bike.

Rack and panniers now fitted to the T3, plus 30mm PHF Carbs fitted and running, just need some nicer weather now to enjoy it.

Dropped the loop’s sump yesterday to clean out the sludge. Also had a lie down underneath to shine a torch up and look at the bottom of the bores. All looks OK. Shiny where the piston runs and dull grey below the skirt.
This afternoon I’ve made some brackets to fit the quarter fairing to the SP. Dash console tomorrow hopefully.

Do you want to upset him with the garden chair and apehangers?
Scary thought :astonished:

We took George and the Beetle to Leek in the snow…got a bit chilly and wondered how the guys riding home from the Dragon mite be feeling…Leek aint far from us…

House deep cleaned ahead of wifey’s return from het week in the sun.
Not a direct Guzzi activity but keeping her sweet is
Sorted out a backlog of magazines for recirculation to mates.
Started on a database for the collection of Guzzi articles so that I can share the resource.
Wrote a piece on the first 18 months of Mongrel ownership and sent off to Roger for appraisal.
Time for tea!
Have fun

Convert all up together and ready for the test ride tomorrow. Dyna 111 arrived this morning from US, less VAT than expected as seller had put nice low value on the form. Fitted and working within 2 hours. Only little bit missing is the screw on collar for the odometer reset knob, will try some older switch collars, see if any fit.

Just thawed out from the Dragon, cold and wet and very windy, not Guzzi mounted but plenty Guzzi’s there including this well used and kinda cool T3, must stop cleaning mines…

Hes used to it
2 European trips with me , one of which ended in the Ardennes with 90MPH winds and horizontal freezing rain !!

That’s not dirty, just a little dusty with patina.

Proper used bike Ian, time we saw you at another Scottish, it’s been bloody years

A decade, my last one was 2007, Traquair House I think.
I retire this year so will be able to take the slow route in future.
I just got fed up of the M40, M42, M6, M74 etc. before hitting the good roads.
