What did you do with your Guzzi Today? 2023...

Fitted my sat-nav mounting, didnt want a screen mount so went for the handle bar mount, clear view of both but need a trip out to get angle spot on. Nicely made kit too :+1:

After much research and not really getting any definite answers I decided to take a chance on fitting Power Booster Plug to my Breva 750 . £160 was a lot to gamble so I had a peek on ebay. Bingo a very nice chap called guzzi-steve sent me a new unused plug for £80. Took 10 mins to fit
WOW What a difference smoothed out the annoying stutter at low revs ,smoothed out acceleration no end.

I think that I replied to your question, as a Breva owner for 20 years, and having ridden it all over Europe, I have a fair idea of the way it works
there are always negative people who spend half their lives reading rubbish on the internet, but I asked my motorcycle engineer, who is also a race marshal a racer of repute and a race mechanic, he said it would improve the machine no end, and he was right

Went for a ride out V11 won’t start😢 starter motor just happy clicking away gonna try bump starting it as the fuel pump is priming.
Hopefully it’s just the battery

there’s always the classic “click won’t start” syndrome, but this alone is not a wonder cure for (straightforward) battery woes, loose connections, tired relays, etc. #notamechanic but i think (if i listened well) that shorting the terminals at starter will tell you whether starter + battery are in good health. the rest is beer and follow the wires stuff. good luck!

Luckily I live on a slight hill got it going first bump went for a blast for half hour stopped. It started straight on the button :+1:
Gonna check earth connections battery terminals etc, there may well be a drain happening somewhere.
Thanx Barry

Took the little Stornello out on the Taverners VMCC Section tiddler run last Sunday and got caught by the local roadside photographer.

Yesterday I went to the Moto Guzzi Day at the British Motor Museum and had a great time talking to a bunch of Guzzi owners and saw a huge range of beautiful bikes of all kinds and ages. Unfortunately it undid my entire detail from the day before so back to cleaning again when I got home.

Took it out to knock the spikes off the tyres :+1:

Last Friday took a little ride from Peterborough to Abergavenny via Rugby, Leamington, Stratford, Worcester and Hereford. Chased a Hinckley triumph from Alcester to Worcester. Only one nature’s call en route and 155 miles later, arrived without any aches and pains, no stiffness in any of the 68 year old joints. A very pleasant afternoon with old shipmates was spent at the King’s Arms Hotel. Then the ride back home. Brilliant. Talk about armchair biking! It was my first ‘long’ run and so damn comfortable. Now got to think of another excuse to leave she who must be obeyed.

So took the Black Eagle for a spin with my 18 year grandson on pillion. Visited a newly reopened public house, the Boltoph Arms, Orton Longueville, Peterborough. Two pints for £6!
And it’s a brilliant place for bike meets.

A couple of weeks ago (when the sun was still shining!), took the V1200 Sport from home in Warrington on a north Wales loop.

Great day in the saddle! :+1:

Fitted a Powerbronze screen to the V100 Mandello. Prompt delivery, easy to fit, and improves comfort at higher speeds. I also think it suits the lines of the bike. I then spent the rest of the afternoon testing it on the road.

I test ride one yesterday and it definitely needed a higher screen. The standard one funnelled the flies onto my visor

Fitted a velocity stack to my V7 850 yesterday and today I’m struggling to believe the difference.
Low RPM fuelling seems massively improved, specifically the stumble at low revs seems to have gone to the point where it will happily do 20mph in 3rd and then pull all the way to the limiter.
Throttle response is so much quicker, no pause before pickup and the dead spot at 3500 is almost none existent.
All from an aluminium trumpet, at this rate it’s the best £150 I’ve spent on this bike. Also judging by how quickly gutsibits goes from in stock to call for info it would seem that quite a few of you have been fitting these.

I took my new V85tt for a spin to Devils Bridge at Kirkby Lonsdale (yesterday). I went via M6 north to the A6/M55, then the backroads from Goosnargh along the edge of the Forest of Bowland to Caton, there are fantastic views across Morecambe bay to the Lake District mountains. The roads were covered in muck, stones and other detritus washed off from the fields. I came across a few badly flooded roads, some cars chickened out and turned around, me being a bit daft went for it and got wet legs below my knees but they soon dried out.
My journey home was up to Ingleton, then to Bentham and over the tops to Slaidburn (cafe was shut :slightly_frowning_face:) then to Clitheroe, the A59 and M6 south for the Standish/Wigan turn off. only got 500 miles on it now, but looking forward to racking more up.
