What did you do with your Guzzi today ? .......

I got my recently bought H&B racks fitted to the Breva. What a tight fit they are, but very solid.

The H&B luggage looks great on the Breva and were a bargain along with racks off e Bay Germany. The seller even threw in a new H&B top box in for free.

I am all set for a Tour now but have no idea where to go. South sounds like a good direction.

Steve

I took my breva to the jet age museum, I wore an open face helmet for the first tiem in 20 yearswierdattended a meeting of RAF veterans who were flown in then had a flypast by a Hurricane and a Spitfire

Nice one Phil, have you abandoned the Classic?Regards,John

Valve clearances , plugs , oils , lubed the cables, new waffle grips, check brake pads and balanced the carbs. And a wee look over, ready for Scwtland next week. Last week it was a UJ check ,new rear tyre, replaced the front wheel and bearings and had my Konis rebuilt. Changed the buddy seat to my twos up seat. That should be it so it should.
48 hour shift and then it is time to pack a wee bag.

I did the self same thing a few weeks back, not worn an open-face lid since I was a teenager. And to be honest I found it very liberating, I’ll definitely use it again this summer.

I rode my Breva up to Oliver’s Mount to watch the races today. Parked up next to a beautiful green Griso, saw a nice LM and of course the Gambalunga which was racing.
Had a chat with ‘Rumbled’ who was marshalling at Mere Hairpin then met a Stelvio owner who had come all the way from Ipswich!
Lovely weather and some great racing plus Ago doing some quickish laps on his fantastic sounding MV!
And it all happens again tomorrow for anyone who missed it today.

How much is it to get in at Olivers mount tomorrow?

Thanks Daz

Was £20 for a day ticket today so I’d assume it will be the same tomorrow.

Many thanks.

No, sir, following your lead there’s two in my life now

So, what I did w/it yesterday, rode it home from Exeter in an act of blind faith which seemed appropriate, considering.
Only niggle was the wiring on the brake lever switch ‘came’ adrift which I noticed whilst having a fingertip once-over back home. Which, given its 24hr-old MOT certificate, I was not expecting

Rode em back from Settle, big thankyou to Steve, Karen and the Pennine Guzzisti…

Nice run out on the Centauro via Corbridge, Hexham, Chollerford, Rothbury, Morpeth and then home to Durham.

Bike never missed a beat and pulls like a train but i was expecting a bit of sunshine rather than wall to wall cloud.

Did the traditional once a year visit to Matlock Bath, walked up and down the line of parked bikes and saw 2 Guzzis and 27,000 Harleys.

Rode over to Clay Cross and happened to meet a couple of friends who had stopped off there.

Took the bike through its first ford.

A good day.

My bike actually left the shed for the first time since I moved house six months ago! Long story but was fab to get out on the old girl! The noise when you wind it up followed by the ‘ggghhhh’ when you dip the clutch and change up through the LaFranconis is like nothing else!
Anyway, will be using it a bit more now its roadworthy again.

V happy!

I have just seen a harley go past my house, god awful noise ( how does it comply with the law) it was all shinyand it was all covered in little lights making it look like a fairground ridewhat a big poof

Bet you heard it before you saw it RG

Wonder if it was Peter Honda riding it ?

It was a long day at the Mount yesterday, with the impression that filming for a BBC 2 program took preference over the odd bit of racing, in between the endless parades! Hope you asked for you money back, Dazguzzi!
At the end of the day we got to stay behind in case Vic Reeves fell off Bazza’s bike. He didn’t!
I did get to chat to the lucky bloke who set up the photo shoot that we were all drooling over in the 70s…Steph McLean on Bazza’s bike…

More please Rumbled…
Talking to a fella from Cornwall who was at the Settle rally saturday, he left early to get to Scarboro’…

Hi Rumbled thanks for that but as it worked out i didn’t go.Bad news for those that did though based on what you said.Cheerswv Darryl
