What did you do with your Guzzi today ? .......

Am ok G4, just wish I hadn’t got mad, woman stuck in queue at lites took exception to me filtering and pulling in front of her, started hooting…etc etc…
Just been out to a Old Car bike meet nearby…was treated to a 1923 AJS flat tanker with carbide lighting…lovely…
A mate was there on an Ambo , which Guy and me got back on the road for him a coupla years ago, looked and sounded great…some lovely old cars too…perfick…equilibrium restored.

Did you have your headcam attached…??..thesedays always useful and nowdays cheap/unobtrusive/high quality…

Ah them.I leave home in the morning, at the end of my road I turn right onto some traffic lights.I always ride to the front and generaly someone gets annoyed.Nice to know I still give some people the horn.

A-ha maybe these folk think filtering is illegal, it isn’t in this country (yet).

Or more likely they just operate by different rules. Theirs.

Seen a bit of atrocious driving last couple of days, why is it mostly Mercedes, BMW or Audi cars - hanging on your offside rear waiting to pass and overtaking everything in sight and bugger the speed limits. Can be bad enough if a bike does it especially in totally inappropriate situations never mind a huge car.

Where are the traffic cops when you want them.

My big O 'pinion…
Those folks are in and out of your life in seconds. Let them get on with it, otherwise you will be distracted for miles and possibly miss out on something that will put you in REAL danger.
Now get back to the thread !!!

Min, you are NOT allowed to write sensible stuff here. You are very naughty.

I’ve filtered in Germany where it is illegal.I followed a cop doing it.Good fun.

A couple of years ago I was riding over the QEII bridge at Dartford, filtering a bit on my 1100 Sport, then filtering a lot as I got to the huge queue for the toll gates. I went nearly to the front but didn’t overtake a white van man, who then started hooting and shouting about how long he had been queuing and what a bunch of second rate chap we motorcyclists were, A supervisor came over to me (sitting quietly minding my own) and told ME to calm down! I laughed, tee hee, not me mate you want to see the bloke with the red face in the van in front who looks like he is having a heart attack.

In the car I have a copy of the highway code in the door pocket, in stead of waving fists or fingers at drivers who have pi55ed me off I show them my copy! That makes me smile and them confused, you should try it.

Naughty ?? You don’t know the half of it !! Today I am wearing her thong while she is out.

That is not a pretty picture.Eye bleach now required.

I’ve filtered in Germany while being chased by coppers. Much more fun

Not sure I would want to mess with German coppers.I’ve seen them in action, they do take prisoners, eventually.

She was actually foaming at the mouth by the time she caught me! I gave her the doe eyes and got off scot free

Tell us more.

Nothing to tell, I didn’t know the law and went blasting through the traffic. The cars were brilliant, only too eager to get out of my way…then I realised once I looked in the mirror! Adding 2 and 2, and getting 14, I decided to make a break for it, which lasted all of half a mile. One severe telling off and a face full of spittle, and I was on the road againHere’s a top tip: If you get pulled by foreign cops - or any cops - don’t give it the big ‘I am’, just grovel. A lot…

I wouldn’t say grovel, but be very polite and don’t insult their intelligence by denying something they saw you do.Remember they don’t just have the book on their side. They got a whole library and can write more if they want to (especialy New Labour). My favourite was trying to join my German mates on a ride out I got onto the inner ring road in Paderbon. I was seperated by about 100 metres of road which had a big sign saying bus’s and taxi’s only.I was thinking about risking it when a German cop drove by and asked me what the problem was. After I explained he stood in front of the sign, grinned and said ‘I see no problem’.But I have also seen how they laid into the peace demonstrastors in '84.No mercy shown there. But then their country was in the firing line.

Min, I usually give them a cheery wave…don’t know why I bit, can’t even say it was me 'ormones…
And give her the thong back will ya…

Hopefully I will be mostly trying to get a glimpse of the TdF in the tricky lanes of the Yorkshire Dales, tomorrow.

Rebuilt the carbs for my V7Sport and fitted them. That carby cleaner is nasty stuff - dissolved my gloves and stung my poor soft hands.latest exploits here http://racingrhino.wordpress.com/2014/07/04/exhaust-carbs-n-other-stuff/
