What did you do with your Guzzi today ? .......

The RAF place is quite a few miles away.Next time your in Kidlington look for the signs that say Airport, they’re quite common. And you’ll be 1/4 mile from the Airport and 1.5 from my flat. You could pop round for a coffee.

Took the lemon for MOT passed no problem, also phoned insurance for my annual premium argument ,managed to get £46 knocked off so that was worth 25minute call.
Never just pay what they ask for !!..

Mrs Fatal and I went to Abersoch in North Wales on the Stelvio yesterday. Stayed overnight with some friends and came home this evening.
Tuesday the journey was a bit wet, but coming home today warm and sunny. Great riding on some lovely roads through, Mold, Ruthin, Bala, Trawsfyndd, Porthmadoc, and Cricceth. The bike as ever was superb.

Yup.

Took the Centauro out and headed for Northumberland and into Scottish Borders before returning to Durham. For me i will never part with my Cali75th Anniversary for any bike BUT Mellow Yellow is turning into an absolute hoot to own and sooooooooooo quick for an Auld Twin.

Had a ride up the A68 to Selkirk to see a mate then the A7 to Hawick - Longtown - A6071 to Brampton - Past Lanercost Priory - Gilsland - Greenhead on to the Military Road (B6318) back onto the 68 then the A69 back onto the 68 then the A695 and home. Shouldn’t really complain about the weather but it was very hot at times. There was a lot of Touring bikes loaded up and traveling both North and South.Ian

Mis-read the weather forecast and decided a ride in to work would be a great idea this morning. Second half of my 55 mile journey was underwater (well, the Blackwall Tunnel is  ).

Stelvio behaved well, I fuelled up first and on the nicer roads I was averaging 54mpg. This dropped to just 49mpg in soaking wet filtering world.

Well, watching the mpg readout gives you something to do on the boring sections!

yes - a poor design with a stiffener plate spot welded on from underneath, which destroys any anti corrosion treatment at the welds , and then no replaced anti corrosion treatment on top. about 7 or 8 years ago my Cali was still in warranty when the mudguard rusted through but I got no rsponse on the claim

Nothing! Had hand op on Monday. Medical notes state not to drive (riding will be included) for two weeks till discharged. Can’t even grip a spanner, so nowt doing. Bored. Bored. Bored.

Shall shortly be following one to Mallory Park on me Duke…

Got it wet

No rain here, so took the Griso 8V out for a blast across the county to visit my sister’s grave. Not sure the few other cemetery visitors appreciated the Termi blasting their peace and quiet, but I kept it as tame as I could and switched off as as soon as I’d parked.

Put the cover on Chen as I am back to work for a week from tomorrow. Done about 1500 Km in last week with trip to France & bimbling about.

Had a nice ride over to Squires Cafe on Wednesday night. Beautiful weather. As I turned off the old A1 towards Sherburn I saw a massive emergency services incident with countless police cars and ambulances, and the Air Ambulance parked on the opposite carriageway. I also spotted the remains of a motor-cycle. I hope its rider survived. I’ve scanned the local news channels and there was no mention of the incident or its consequences. I guess given the lack of news things may have turned out OK. Probably understandably, when I actually arrived at Squires it was difficult to get in the swing of it, despite the throng of bikes and riders. I saw a few Guzzis, a couple of V7s and a nice red Griso 1100. I felt better after enjoying a great feast of a meat pie, chips, peas and onion gravy. Strangely, my jacket didn’t seem to fit as well after that. I took it steady on the way back and all signs of the incident had disappeared.

After an eight month abscence ! eight months, what kinda guzzi rider are you ?.One that enjoys the pleasures of other motorcycles also.I rode my leman to work and wow what a contrast compared to my rt k75.
Plank like seat,un comfortable riding position, hard suspension, false neutrals a plenty, what is this guzzi thing all about I asked myself ?.Intrigued by my passion for this bike, the return journey found me gelling with my favourite bike of all time, appreciating the starter motor refurb, new battery, and carbs being balanced by an excellent mechanic and close friend of mine, guzzi graham.

Truth be known ,I think the rider probably could do with a new m.o.t.and service.Happy days are hear again, ride safe and stay healthy.I am off for a short blast to Jack hills cafe A5 towcester,I shall be wearing my Hebridean mgcgb tour t shirt, courtesy of mad farqaur ,highland branch.Ton up club,mm I think I might just do that.

Did a bit of prep to Beserker (my 1225cc Daytona) for some upcoming trackdays. Was unable to fix the tacho fault- thought it may be have been simple like a bad earth but guessing that the tacho is simply broken.

A certain somebody rode his home from Mallory Park with his on track number securely taped over his rear numberplate…foto to follow…maybe…

Rode down to the Ace Café on the Breva, with a mate on a BMW and another on a Honda. Had lunch en-route at the Flying Pig Café at Turweston Airfield, and watched a two-seater Spitfire taking off. Bit late returning, so came back via the A5, a little faster than I’d prefer. Great day out.

Pix too huge for mobile with slow network

rode it into work, first day back after holiday in Turkey. I certainly wouldn’t want to ride it there in 35-40 degrees
